Meet the MIC Team

Brandon Cornuke

Vice president, startup services

As the VP of MAGNET’s Startup Services division, Brandon Cornuke leads the company’s efforts to help innovators turn manufactured product ideas into growing businesses. He specializes in strategy development, business model design, and lean innovation. Prior to joining MAGNET, his professional path included starting a successful consumer products company, building a corporate innovation group at American Greetings, leading a half-billion dollar consumer electronics business at Target Corp, and consulting with Hitachi’s global IT strategy group. Brandon has an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and is also an Adjunct Professor of Design and Innovation at Case Western’s Weatherhead School of Management.

Rahul Narain

Startup Associate

Rahul works alongside Brandon with startups and entrepreneurs to validate and advise on critical assumptions regarding their businesses. Additionally he utilizes his engineering background to help those businesses design and create prototypes if needed. Before joining MAGNET, he worked in the Engine Assembly unit of a Honda manufacturing facility and as the design engineer for a drone manufacturing startup. He graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Manufacturing and Design Engineering and Japanese Language and Culture.

Michael Keller

Senior product development engineer

Mike Keller brings over 20 years of manufacturing experience from the consumer products, medical equipment and industrial products industries.  After receiving his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Trine University, he has worked in a variety of rolls including Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development.  Mike’s experience comes from some very well know companies like Swagelok and Little Tikes. As a Manufacturing Engineer, Mike designed, developed and installed a variety of complex fixtures and other equipment for industrial tube fitting and consumer product production.  In Product Development, Mike worked closely with Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Finance among others to bring consumer product ideas from the drawing board to market.  In 2006, Mike joined MAGNET’s product development team where he began working with local companies and entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to reality.  He is presently continuing this effort with multiple companies in various industries including industrial and consumer products.

Matt Sinclair

Growth and innovation advisor

Matt Sinclair leads MAGNET’s Growth Toolbox, a program focused on supporting small manufacturing companies through their journey to growth.  He specializes in strategic planning and tactical execution, supply chain, lean innovation, and marketing and sales.  Prior to joining MAGNET, Matt was a strategy and operations consultant at Accenture in a variety of industries, including resources, products, food and beverage and industrial agriculture.  Matt also worked as a financial planning associate at a private wealth management firm in Cleveland, Ohio.  Matt has a BA in sociology, economics and business from the University of Michigan and is also the president of Rainbow Babies and Children’s Foundation Associate Board.


AlRitia Gore

As a Commercialization Associate, AlRitia Gore helps clients advance their business by keeping them up to date with today’s trends in their respective market. AlRitia is currently a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University in their Master of Engineering and Management Program. AlRitia graduated from The University of Akron with a degree in Biomedical Engineering: Biomechanics.

Brianna Whalen

Brianna is a Commercialization Associate, working primarily with the sales and marketing team. In her role, she enjoys assisting with market research and company work in order to help enable growth.  When she’s not in the office, Brianna is completing her Master’s degree in Engineering and Management at Case Western Reserve University.  She completed her Bachelors in May from Case in biomedical engineering.
